Wailuku First Friday + Canoe Crop Corner |
A Celebration of Local Culture and Community.
After a four-year hiatus, Wailuku First Friday returns as a vibrant monthly street party where locals and visitors can enjoy live music, delicious food, unique art, and shopping. Vendors, food trucks, crafters, and artists fill the streets of Wailuku, creating a lively atmosphere that celebrates local businesses and talent. Guests can stroll through the event, sample a variety of foods, listen to music, and discover one-of-a-kind goods—a perfect way to experience Maui’s local culture and support the community. The event also features the Maui Visitor Bureau Canoe Crop Corner, a celebration of Maui’s rich agricultural heritage. Cultural advisors and local chefs showcase the flavors of Hawai'i's ancient canoe crops, the plants brought to the islands by early Polynesian voyagers. This interactive event features tastings, a cultural demonstration and engaging storytelling that connects Maui’s food culture to its historical roots. |

Wailea Golf Club Launches Plastic-Reduction Initiative |
As part of its ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact, Wailea Golf Club has introduced a new plastic-reduction initiative. Customers checking in for their tee time will receive a complimentary reusable aluminum water flask, which can be filled at filtered water stations or coolers located throughout all three courses and both clubhouses. This eco-conscious program is projected to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic water bottles by approximately 120,000 containers each year. Additionally, the award-winning golf club features the most energy-efficient golf carts in the industry. |

The Sentry Returns to Maui for the 2025 PGA Tour Season!
The Sentry—formerly The Sentry Tournament of Champions—opens the 2025 calendar year and the PGA Tour season on Maui’s northwest coast at the Plantation Course at Kapalua. For the past 25 years, Maui has graciously hosted The Sentry, which aims to continue using its platform to ensure awareness, fundraising, and support for the West Maui community. The Sentry features an accomplished field of pro golfers, including PGA Tour winners from the 2024 calendar year and the top 50 of final FedExCup standings. The tournament annually attracts over 30 of the world’s best golfers for an exciting competition.
